I'm not a fan of rap, but any rap that combines licks and particle physics, well...how can I not like it, at least a little...

I might even go as far as stating that this really explains what is going on in modern particle physics today. :)

Had a post all set and then hit the back button...

Been wondering if I have the stamina to continue the quest for expression. Quite hard for the content folks to pump it out I guess, at least from the perspective of a browser of info. Different story to come up with the production than to view it...

I was on a road trip to Hardindsburg this week, and having burned a quite nice Iron Maiden CD I rocked until the eardrums were complaining! Aces High has to be on of the greatest rock-n-roll songs ever...and the storytelling of Hallowed Be Thy Name...

Are you a fan of video games? well, you have to go check this site out: www.gog.com. Good Old Games.

Imagine playing the original Decent (or Fallout, or Freespace, plus add-ons) on your new Vista rig. OK, when I was "young," I lived in the windowless basement of my brother, affectionately know as the dungeon. It was quite cave-like, temperature 55 degrees F year around, cave crickets, and musty old smell...and quite the environment for smoky midnight immersive sci-fi gaming. Decent was a favorite along with one of my other all time favorites: Civilization. Of course, back then the Amiga 1200 was my rig and the IBM PC was still $5000 for a computer of much less capability. Sigh...the good old days...

I still have the Amiga. I'd love to set it up again, but for what? No software and missing parts. I should just get rid of it on ebay for some $$$$, but how do you give up your memories?

First post on the Live Journal. Wee...now what do I write about? Oh, friends, Family, job...

I'm really struggling with some visual Basic scripting for a ventilation excel spreadsheet I'm working on. My issue is with reading in an array and then trying to parse the array to get useful information out of it. But, one bit at a time. If I can just get the array into excel I'll call it a good day.

Also, I'm taking a look at Evernote: www.evernote.com, because I need to remember absolutely everything. Evernote seems like a fantastic application for keeping my brain empty as I can make and search entries from both my desk (home and office) and interestingly, from my mobile phone. This is a real treat as I can search stuff from anywhere in the cloud. See the thing is that I must learn to be the master of information. I need to keep it handy but not stuff my brain so full full it explodes. Having my brain explode gets messy....
